Weeping fig tree or ficus benjamina is a fairly easy plant once you get it through initial acclimation. Ficus benjamina or as it s more commonly known the weeping fig is a common indoor houseplant which comes in multiple different looks and styles. They are happy in one spot do not move your ficus often. It will express its discomfort by dropping leaves and fast growing.

The leaves on the all green variety are unremarkable and because the weeping fig is not a flowering houseplant its main attraction is the overall shape. Cover the container with a large plastic. Propagating weeping fig take a 3 to 5 inch cutting that contains at least two sets of leaves from the tip of a healthy branch. Embed the end of the cutting in a container filled with moistened peat moss.

The ficus is a top rated plant filter for formaldehyde. It can be grown as a tall indoor tree with leafless braided trunks or a tall bushy indoor plant or even as a short pot plant. Weeping figs can look striking and elegant in almost every setting. These little tree houseplants are popular in offices homes malls and other public buildings.

Surprisingly despite its amazing popularity and ubiquitous presence it is not what i consider an easy indoor plant then again most plants for me are not easy indoors. This plant has a modest appearance and is offered at a reasonable price. It has arching branches and long pointed leaves and while it doesn t usually produce flowers or fruit when grown indoors it is a simple to care for plant that grows with relative ease.
