The search was on for a better alternative to a mechanical fan. Like a knucklehead i ordered two of the three wire plugs for it. I ve heard something about using fans out of a ford windstar not sure the reason why it such a popular swap. I have read that a 90ish 3 8 ford taurus stock fan would work great.

There are a great variety of option here. Electric fans can be shut off. I got my windstar fan in the mail yesterday running it on my 74 lwb bbc radiator and the plugs came today. Looks nice and the measurements work perfectly on my radiator.

After seeing some of the prices for electric fans at various stores parts houses that option was about to be ruled out as well but luck prevailed as my brother and i soon discovered that ford windstar dual electric fans would swap easily into my car with only minor trimming. This is a single 2 speed fan. Clutch fan cant be shut off they seize up the engine when submerged. Put new fans in the chevelle out of a 2001 ford windstar. Been thinking about this for a while haven t gathered enough info to do it yet.
