Leaks in the kitchen don t always come from the sink or dishwasher.
Floor under fridge looks scorched.
There has always been one dark spot that kind of looks like a burn mark as if someone placed something too hot on it.
Older models of refrigerators and sometimes newer ones have a plastic or metal catch basin located under the bottom of the fridge that excess water or fluids that get spilled inside the fridge.
It looks like there s a wave in the flooring.
We extended the floors under the dishwasher stove and the fridge.
We yanked out the appliances including the fridge when we replaced the yukky circa 1971 laminate with hardwoods in our kitchen.
The wood flooring looks to be completely intact to subfloor.
One way to remove.
Check the fridge s drain pan several times for excess water accumulation.
My house is 25 years old.
I just noticed that in the center of the room there is a lift of the wood flooring.
Pour a mild solution of soapy water and ammonia down the drain tube to kill bacteria.
Locate the drain tubes at the rear of the refrigerator or freezer.
Now this spot has grown larger and there are two new spots about 3 to 4 inches across.
It s usually located behind the fridge or under the kitchen sink.
Push a small plastic tube or a pipe cleaner through the tubes.
All the spots are are equal distance from each other in a line about 3 feet from each other.
They are not moist and they are not soft.
Due to the added water you should check and empty as needed the drain pan 1 2 times per day over the next 2 3 days.
2 lay the cutout piece over a new piece of linoleum either from remnants or a hidden area of the floor.
Do to the increased floor height we had to get a new fridge.
If you have a turkey baster or syringe use it to squeeze water into the hole.
For a frozen waterline rather than a physical kink first turn off the water supply with the shut off valve.
Score around the burned area with a utility knife and remove it from the floor.
A leak coming from the bottom of the fridge.

I went under the house and noticed that in the lifted area there s a support beam directly in that area.
The water from the baster will end up in the drain pan under the fridge.
